Explanation:

During the Boston tea party, a group called sons of liberty conducted a protest toward the Townshend Acts. They conducted this protest by throwing up the chest of tea that's about to be exported by British empire to the Boston harbor. Nobody died during this event.

In the Boston massacre however, British soldiers shot and killed several people because they felt insulted by the colonists who talk badly about the British government due to their unpopular policies. 5 people were dead on this incident.

The Boston massacre convinced the colonists that the British will eventually resorted to violence if they resist their unfavorable policies. This become one of the major event that increase the support for American Revolution.
