the brown v. board had to do with black and white children and segregation among schools. it started when an african american child had to walk over a mile to get to her school, while a white school was very close by. this caused the parents to file a lawsuit, to try to get their child to get into the white school and altogether end segregation among schools. this ties into the famous argument "separate but not equal." this case went to the supreme court, and the case finally won in 1954.
