What did Capt. Pratt mean when he said, "Kill the Indian in him, and save the man?" Question 1 options: A massacre of the Indian would save the White man. Earlier US policy in regards to the Native Americans were ineffective. The US should work to assimilate the Indian into the White culture. The US should work to accept the Indian into the white culture while preserving their Native heritage.
