During his career he lead the formation of many multinational corporations such s US Steel Corporation, General Electric and International Harvester. He also controlled AT and T, 24 railroads and Western Union and also had influence on the lawmakers due to his wealth. He is best known for organising a coalition of finances that saved American economy from collapse during the Panic of 1907.
