Holocaust refers to the organized murder of Jews in Germany during the second world war. More than six million Jews were murdered by the Nazis which included more that one million children. Along with the Jews, physically handicapped, Gypsies, Poles, Serbs, and Catholics were also killed. The Nazis murdered seventeen million people during their rule on Germany. The steps taken by national governments and international bodies after the war is still contested, they are criticized for not taking action to save the Jews and other victims of the Holocaust. Others claim that the Allies accepted as many Jewish migrants from Germany as the Nazis allowed.
