The Six-Day-War in 1967 was a conflict between Israel and its neighboring countries Egypt, Jordan and Syria, due to the escalation of previous tensions.

After the ceasefire was signed, the victory of Israel became apparent. Israel seized the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria. Israel's territory tripled in size.
