Napoleon Bonaparte was a French leader which ruled the French republic between 1799-1804. His rule benefited the male gender as he set up excellent schools known as Lycee in 1801.
He set up the schools to enable them to be more knowledgeable and literate enough to fight wars and fit into other important positions in the country
The educational reforms affected women differently than men because Napoleon believed women were inferior to men and should only be placed at home to take care of the domestic needs of the family.The women weren't allowed to go to schools or hold any political position.

Napoleon's reforms in education allowed only boys age 10 to 16 to get education from the schools as it will make them a good citizen and also help to fill the positions in bureaucracy and military. Napoleon's reforms in education taught growing morals and political ideas to the generation.
This reform was different for women than men because this reform was only for men since they thought women could learn everything they needed from their mothers and they were active citizens.
