The statement that best descrcibes the Washington economy since World War II is c) a series of ups and downs in economic activity.
Explanation:
After World War II, Washington managed to shift from wartime production to peacetime one. Its economy was based on aircraft and ships production, so the state was benefitted not only during World War II, but also during the Cold War. However, Washington's economy was seriously affected during the 1970s, when the U.S. government cancelled its commercial jet project: the economy collapsed because one out of five jobs were tied to that industry. Eventually, Washington managed to reinvent itself and is now thriving on the technology industry, among others.

Answer/Explanation:
John F. Kennedy was America's 35th President who was famous for his belief that all American's have the important responsibility of contributing actively to the growth, development, and well being of America and other American citizens. His belief is well encapsulated in one of his famous speeches where he stated that: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Through his programs and policies such as the peace corps, he instigated the active involvement and participation of youths and young people in the political, social, and economic activities of America. He also encouraged the citizens to contribute to the commonwealth of the nation by investing in the human capital development of fellow American citizens who were less fortunate, and also promoted civil rights, and equality.
John F. Kennedy's policy goals differed from those of his predecessors in that, while for example, his predecessors like Eisenhower, Truman, and Roosevelt focused more on rebuilding the American economy and ending the war, John. F Kennedy focused more on the New frontier policy, support for civil rights, containment towards the Soviet Union, dealing with communism, winning the cold war, and expansion of individual rights and equality of all citizens irrespective of race, colour, or sex. He also believed in the expansion of the space program.
His unique policy goals are evident in some of the quotes from his speeches thus: He sought support by all and sundry to fight and conquer what he called the “common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.” His belief in the new frontier/foreign policy and the expansion of immigration and nationality is reflected in his speech thus "Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you". His belief in the expansion of space program can also be seen in his speech thus: " We go into space because whatever mankind must undertake, free men must fully share...I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieve the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth."
Unfortunately, John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.
