The revolution in Latin America and in the Caribbean was strongly inspired by the revolution of America.  The war of independence was the uprisings that took place in Latin America, during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. As a result of these revolutions, a number of independent countries emerged in Latin America. The Creoles (born in Latin America, but had their ancestors from Spain envied lower social, civic, economic rank), under the leadership of the Simon Bolivar, led the revolution.

In Caribbean Haiti (a slave colony), became the first nation to get the independence from the European powers in 1804.
