Correct answers: John Wycliffe considered the BIBLE, not the CHURCH, the only true measure of Christian conduct.
This was a main idea shared by Wycliffe and other Protestant reformers, that the Bible is the ultimate source of truth. They were objecting to the way that the Roman Catholic Church asserted the authority of the popes and church traditions to be of the same value as the Bible. Reformers like John Wycliffe in England and Martin Luther in Germany made efforts to translate the Bible into the language of their own people for people to learn God's truth for themselves.
