Carnegie provides his readers with a very distinct explanation on how to best attain and distribute wealth. In The Gospel of Wealth he explains the if the rich really want to help ones need they must make a conscious effort to make change rather than just throwing money at a group or charity.
If the money is simply given to the people who are begging they will never learn the true value of money or the hard work parallels it. Hard work pays off and the more that people see the hard work pay off the harder they will want to work or at least Carnegie alludes to this.

Algunos de los factores que llevaron a un aumento de trabajadores chinos en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX en los Estados Unidos, fue principalmente la necesidad de contratar muchos trabajadores, mano de obra barata, para construir el gran proyecto llamado "El Tren Transcontinental" que conectó la costa Este de los Estados Unidos con la costa Oeste.
Esta nueva vía de tren conectó los Estados Unidos desde Omaha, Nebraska, hasta Sacramento California. La legislación "del Ferrocarril del1862," autorizó el comienzo de este gran proyecto que recayó en las compañía Union Pacific y Central Pacific.
Las dos vías se juntaron en la ciudad de Promontory, Utah, el 10 de mayo de 1869.
Y fueron las manos de los trabajadores chinos, los que hicieron posible la pronta conclusión de este magno proyecto.
