Why do you think the compromise of 1850 failed to solve the issue of slavery?( Please help me turned into today and i dont get it would mean a lot)

A representative government is a type of government in which the citizens vote to elect people that would represent them. This means that the elected people will listen to their concerns and act in accordance to them. This is the type of government that was established in the colonies after Independence. Therefore, the sentence could be something like this:

"Because the colonists did not feel that their interests were represented in the English government, they decided to establish their own representative government."
