Why do you think the Native Americans were more inclined to assist the French than the British during the French and Indian War?

They were inclined to the French since French people mostly used their colonies for trade, particularly fur with the Native Americans. They only built small settlements and ports mainly for trading purposes and did not try to expand and take much of the Indian land. The British were ambitious and wanted to take land away to create massive colonies for things like cash crops and trade.
