Why is AC called “alternating current”?

AC is a type of current flow in a circuit. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction. It transmits electricity over long distances. AC can come in a number of forms, as long as the voltage and current are alternating.

As LoveRanaa stated, Europe is more catholic and America is more Protestant, but also, the monarchy countries in Europe's churches are headed by the king/queen of that country, while American churches are not headed by the leader(s) of our country. Hope this helps!
