(3x +4) (3x + 4) =  0

x=-4/3

are you sure part A doesn't have a negative somewhere? 

9x^2+12x+12x+16 this works just double checking

b)

16x^2 - 25y^2 =  0

(4x-5y)(4x+5y)= 0
