3. Two computers Model A and B are working to do
computations. Model B is the upgraded version and can work
three times as fast. For a task, 20,000 computations are done
by Model A and 90,000 computations are done by Model B, and
it takes a total of 100 seconds. How fast does each Model
perform computations?
(Note: time = computations / rate)
a) Let x = rate of computation for A. Write a rational equation
which models the above, using:
total computational time = time for A + time for B
