To plot a line a line on a graph, it depends on the slope and y-intercept.

Step-1: Re-organize the equation into slope-intercept form.

4x - 2y = 4=> -2y = -4x + 2=> y = -4x/-2 + 4/-2=> y = 4x/2 - 2=> y = 2x - 2

Step-2: Plot the line on the graph.

To start graphing a line, go down 2 units on the y-axis as it is your y-intercept. Then, go to two units on the right of the y-axis on the coordinate plane and go up to four units. Then, plot your point. Repeat until you reach the edge of your graph. Lastly, draw a line that intersects through all the points you plotted on the graph.

There's a lot of different kinds. But they're all pretty simple and can be explained rather easy. 

A ratio and a proportion are really the same thing but in different ways. For example, say I have two lines. A big line and a small line. The big line is 10 feet tall, and the little line is 5 feet  tall. We can say they are proportionate to each other because they have a ratio of 10/5 which can be simplified to 2.They are proportionate and the taller line is 2 times higher.
