1) 14/28 to convert to a percent you have to first divide the numerator from the demoninator and then  you  multiply by 100 and you get get %50 (you could had known bc 14 is half of 28)

2) 5/28 do the same thing as the first step and get %17.85

Then the larger number is X + 24

X + (X + 24) = 58

2X + 24 = 58

2X = 34

X = 17
