Step-by-step explanation:
So may questions.
π is generally closer to 3.14. Do you REALLY want to use 3.12?
Which side of the rectangle is the semicircle attached to and which portion of the semicircle contacts the rectangle?.
what diameter is the semicircle? could be anything
I will ASSUME the simplest two possibilities
1) The semicircle has a diameter of 20 m and the flat side joins the 20 m side of the rectangle
Circumference of a 20 m circle is 20π m. Half that amount is 10π m.
This must be added to two sides of 13 m and one of 20 m
20 + 2(13) + 10π = 46 + 10(3.14) = 77.4 m (77.2 with your pi value)
The semicircle has a diameter of 13 m and the flat side joins the 13 m side of the rectangle
Circumference of a 13 m circle is 13π m. Half that amount is 6.5π m.
This must be added to two sides of 20 m and one of 13 m
13 + 2(20) + 6.5π = 53 + 6.5(3.14) = 73.41 m (73.28 with your pi value)
