$\frac{length of the shadow}{height of the object causing the shadow} = \frac{length of the shadow}{height of the object causing the shadow}$
98 cm = 0.98 m

and

$\frac{19}{x} = \frac{0.98}{0.49}$
x = 9.5 m

The height of the tree is 9.5 metres, after rounding it up we acquire the value 10 metres.
