First off you divide $18.60 by 5. 5 goes into 18 three times.. leaving it at 15 with a remainder of 3 now 5 goes into 36, seven times with a remainder of 1... bringing the 0 down makes the equation 10... so 5 goes into to 10 evenly 2 times... all together you have 372 nickels.. hope this helps... it's is hard to do math without paper and pen...
