Diana divided some dry bean seeds into two lots and did the following: i) Soaked one lot of seeds in water for 6 hours and kept the other lot of seeds dry.

ii) Planted the two lots of seeds in two identical pots at equal depths..

iii) Placed the pots in sunlight and watered them equally.

iv) Observed the pots till the seeds sprouted.​
