Factor the quadratic Y=6x^2-11x-30

The answer is y=(2x+3)(3x-10)

3(x + 2y = 9) = 3x + 6y = 27 < I multiplied this equation by 3 to get the y value to cancel with the y value of the next equation

2(-x - 3y = -14) = -2x - 6y = -28 , I multiplied this equation by 2 to get the y value to cancel with the y value of the previous equation

   3x + 6y = 27

+ 2x  - 6y = -28

5x             = 55
             x  = 55/5
             x = 11

Then plug the 11 into one of the equations to solve for y.

x + 2y = 9
(11) + 2y = 9
           2y = 9 - 11
           2y = -2
             y = -2/2
             y = -1
