Four penguins would satisfy a polar bear's appetite for 12 hours. A polar bear has a
territory of 10 square miles. There are 1000 penguins per square mile. What percent
of penguins (number eaten divided 1000 times 100) in the 10 square miles will a wild
polar bear eat?

Step-by-step explanation:
If there are 1000 penguins per square miles, the total number of penguins in a 10 square miles will be 1000*10 = 10,000 penguins/10square miles
Since a polar bear has a territory of 10 square miles, and can only eat four penguins within the 10square miles;
Percentage of penguins that the polar bear can eat will be expressed as;
number of penguin eaten per 10square miles/total number of penguin per 10square miles * 100
Percentage of penguins that the polar bear can eat = 4/10,000 * 100%
Percentage of penguins that the polar bear can eat = 4/100%
Hence, the percentage of penguins that the polar bear can eat in the 10 square miles is 0.04%

While conserving the TRF seems like the best option, as rain forests are one of the most important items of our earth, some people feel that we should instead destroy them more.
People want to conserve the rain forests because they help our atmosphere. Without rain forests animals, plants and humans would struggle to breathe. Most people know of this, and so there are many organisations set up to save our rain forests- Amazon Watch, One Tree Planted. These organisations, and many others, believe that we should diverting our energies to saving the environment and the rain forests, as without them life would be virtually impossible.
However, not everyone thinks this way. If we completely stopped harvesting trees, our economy would might collapse. We wouldn't be able to sell wood, which is an important material to our lives and homes. Some people believe that instead of saving the rain forests, we should instead exploit them more! The main reason why people would want this is money. The more wood they can sell, the more money they can gain. Various capitalism groups support this idea, because they feel they need lots of money- and to do this, they exploit the TRF.
People have different opinions on saving or exploiting rain forests, for their own good or for the worlds.
