well I would write it as a fraction so I think it would be 6/8 because the are altogether 8 and the probability of it not being a hobbit or an umbrella is 6 you count all of the characters except hobbit and then you count all of the tools except an umbrella and that gives you 6 so it is 6/8. hope that helped:]
