Kate is making a scale drawing of her room. Her room is 4 meters by 3 meters. She decides on a scale factor of 1 to 50. What are the dimensions of her room?

1. Substitute the numbers

3(5) + 5 = 15 + 5 = 20

2. Substitute the second number

3(6) + 5 = 18 + 5 = 23

This is because I realized I got the number of 4 last because I did 1*2 = 2.

Then I did 2*2 = 4.

So you have to multiply by two to get the next number. Or you can put it to the 4th or 5th exponent of 2.
