Also just a little warning is that I'm not quite good at remembering the math terms for different parts so please don't mind that :P
Alright, since G is the centroid then it is in the middle of BE! That means segment BE is cut into two different parts! A 1/3 part and a 2/3 part. You can probably tell by looking which part is which because 1/3 is less than 2/3.
Hopefully you get what I'm saying so far :)
Now since you know there are two parts (a 1/3 and 2/3 segmet of BE). You can just figure each of them out considering you know BE's whole length! So 1/3 of 9 is 3 and 2/3 of 9 is 6. SO the 1/3 section is equal to 3 and the 2/3 section is equal to 6 Now you practically have your answer right there!
Notice that the bigger part is segment GE (the 2/3 part) and the smaller part is BG (the 1/3 part). Since you know the 1/3 and 2/3 equal and what segment they are you have the answer!
BG = 3 and GE = 6
