X =![-\frac{1}{2}](/tpl/images/0551/3130/3e56c.png)
Y= -2
Step-by-step explanation:
In order to graph these equations, you need to solve for y in both of these equations. You need to put the equations into slope intercept form which is:![y=mx+b](/tpl/images/0551/3130/904ac.png)
1. The first equation to solve is:![-2x + y=3](/tpl/images/0551/3130/056fb.png)
2. The second equation to solve is![4x+2y=2](/tpl/images/0551/3130/bb6d3.png)
Both equations are in slope intercept form. As you can tell, the slopes are different because one equation has a slope of -2 and a slope of 2. Since there slopes are different they will be intersecting lines, not parallel.
If you graph the equations you will find that they intersect at the point![(-\frac{1}{2} ,-2)](/tpl/images/0551/3130/22f32.png)
