Perimeter of a square = 4 × side

Perimeter of this square = 72 units

Length of each side of this square =

2x - 4

To find the length of each side we can use this equation :-

4(2x - 4) = 72

8x + - 16 = 72

8x - 16 = 72

8x = 72 + 16

8x = 88

$x = \frac{88}{8}$

x = 11

Using this we can find the length of each side .

Length of each side :-

= 2x - 4

= 2 × 11 - 4

= 22 - 4

= 18

Hence the length of each side = 18

Which means :-

Perimeter of this square :

= 4 × 18

= 72

$therefore \: , \: the \: value \: of \: x \: = 11$
