There are 5 girls to every 6 boys enrolled in West Prep Middle School. If there are 150 boys enrolled in the school, how many girls are enrolled in
the school? Help please

The answer is 125 because if you divide 150 by 6 it equals to 25 and than you multiply 25 times 5 witch equals to 125.

So, if x*y > than zero, we know that neither x nor y can be zero, because anything multiplied by zero is equal to zero.  Now, we also know, that a negative times a negative is positive, and a positive times a positive times a positive is positive.

So,

x and y can either both be negative, or both be positive.  

They cannot be zero, or one negative, one positive.
