To decide between the 2nd and 3rd choices, it depends on what you
call "close" and what you call "far", so these two choices aren't worded
too well.
The Earth's north magnetic pole is about 248 miles away from the true
north (geographic) pole. (And by the way, it moves !)
Now, 248 miles is not "very far" compared to the size of the Earth.
But I would not want to walk it or swim it, so I wouldn't call it "close"
