This works best using a tap outside which is raised off the ground a height unless you have a deep sink. you can also use a hose raised above the ground (without a nozzle). turn on the water so that the water is running smoothly (turned on a small amount). 1. describe what you see with respect to the diameter of the water near the tap and near the ground/sink surface. 2. explain in terms of continuity theorem and bernoulli's equation what is happening.
