The US judicial system is composed of three branches: the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal and District Courts. Each branch has a certain purpose. For example, the district courts handle simple and state-related cases while the Court of Appeals is a court for appeals from cases that are not yet resolved. and lastly, the Supreme Court is the last resort if people wished to pursue a higher level of judiciary.
