1. Criminal Database
There has been significant improvement in updating the criminal database of known offenders so that criminals can be easily profiled and caught when they commit an offense.
If a first-time offender commits a crime, depending on the severity of the crime, he can get either a speeding ticket or jail time.
If he is a repeated offender, he gets a tougher sentence.
This has helped law enforcement officers to fight crime.
2. Fingerprinting
Every human being has a unique fingerprint that is exclusive to just that person and law enforcement have used this as a form of identification especially in crime scenes as they dust for fingerprints so they can track down the perpetrators of the crime.
3. Use of DNA
DNA which is an acronym for Deoxyribonucleic acid and can be used to identify criminals just like fingerprinting and the criminal is yet to be identified.
DNA samples can be gotten from saliva, hair follicles, skin, saliva, and many other ways.
