This sentence is a typical example of the question that an interviewer can ask a candidate for vacant posts. As with any other question, this should be answered carefully. Interviewer wants to know what your attitude would be with the people you work with. According to some sociological-psychological studies, two kinds of politeness should be distinguished: positive and negative politeness. Both types of kindness have many different causes and purposes.
Positive politeness is addressed to a positive person who receives politeness, with the aim of support, establishing a relationship that shows similar aspirations and desires between communicators. Here we have psychological and sociological phenomena presenting, exaggerations, identity confirmation, reaching a tacit agreement, etc.
Negative politeness is directed to a person in a negative context, so that a person who sends a message through politeness will, for example, be unhindered and his attention undisturbed. This is, so-called, negative, polite behavior, which may be the most developed and the most conventional set of language strategies. A typical statement: "We look forward very much to see you again", is an example of apologize when it is intended to emphasize that the conversation is finished etc.
The interviewer asks you the question of politeness to see your actions according to certain situations at work, the causes of which may be different, and whether you will recognize them, and react appropriately.
