The Supreme Court ruling in the Dred Scott v. Sanford case has affected by stopping Congress from abolishing the Slave system. Also, the ruling made a lot of consequences economically and politically.
Explanation:
Dred Scott was a black man and also a slave who fought for his freedom for a decade. His freedom was denied by several courts than he finally succeeded in the Supreme Court by achieving his freedom. Dred and his Wife Harriet been enslaved by Dr.John Emerson.
Once he died Dred and Harriet automatically owned by Irene who's Emerson's wife. Though Irene decided to live with her father she hired out Dred and Harriet instead of letting them free. This made Dred filed case in 1846 against the Stanford(Irene's Family) Irene transferred them to her family by retaining her ownership.
He won the case yet ruling stated that he's still a slave. That means negro people may be in the US from its starting yet they are not Americans. Thus the Constitutional amendments are not applicable for them. Later he sold to his first owner and he got his freedom in 1857 and he died after 18 months.
