What significant problem did George Washington have with the Continental army that was partly solved at Valley Forge?

At valley forge, there were shortages of everything from food to clothing to medicine. Washington’s men were sick from disease, hunger, and exposure. The continental army camped in crude log cabins and endured cold conditions while the redcoats warmed themselves in colonial homes.

The factors leading to the decline of ancient Egypt were largely uncontrollable. A civil war coupled with invasions by the Assyrians weakened the Egyptian military allowing the Persian empire to successfully invade and take over Egypt.
