The cases of Cherokee Nation v. Georgia were that Georgia wanted to mine for gold discovered in our homes but we, of course, did not like that idea but the government sided with the settlers because they were citizens, so Georgia passed a law authorized by Andrew Jackson to get rid of the us.

So many people have died in my family and others because of diseases and starvation. We do not even know where we are going. This is the danger those people have put us through. What if everyone in my family dies because of a disease that has spread. I would have no one to pass down the family name.

He wanted to show a perspective of what happened to the Cherokees. They had it hard during their migrating. This painting shows that it was crowded, it seems as if it was chilly because people were wearing blankets. Some people even had to walk on foot. These are only a few things they had to go through.
