Woman in hunter-gatherer communities had fewer children because it was to difficult to take care of babies while living a nomadic life. On the other hand, women in agricultural communities could have more children because as they lived in a seasonal villages. This change was one of the ways to which farming contributed to a rapid increase in human population.
