Population
This is simply defined as a group to which researchers are very interested in an experimental studies. It consists of all elements—individuals, items, or objects—whose characteristics are being studied.
Sample
This is commonly known as a portion or part of of a population.it is that portion of the population selected for study or simply put it as portion with which the study is conducted.
Sampling
This is simply the process taken for selecting a group of participants with which to conduct a study.
The population for a study is composed of two groups mainly;
1. The target population
2. The accessible population.
A sample also acts as a subset of the population that is selected to represent the population. When a sample is selected, the researcher is able to make claims about the population based on data from the sample alone.
