Explain how Africa’s colonial legacy has influenced post-independence conflict in the Sub-Saharan region. Use specific details and examples. Your response should be a paragraph in length. The Rwandan genocide of 1994 resulted in the deaths of nearly 800,000 Rwandans, mostly Tutsis. While the violence that exploded in April of that year was enormous, it was long in the making and the result of mounting, long-term colonial and post-colonial grievances.
