What is the difference between osmosis and diffusion?

a. osmosis moves molecules, such as water, through a semipermeable membrane. diffusion moves molecules, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, through a permeable membrane.

b. osmosis allows all molecules to move from areas of higher concentration to areas of lower concentration. diffusion allows only water molecules to move from areas of higher concentration to areas of lower concentration.
