Explanation:

In plants gaseous exchange occurs mainly in leaves and to a lesser extent in roots and stems. In leaves, the structures involved in gaseous exchange are the stomata.During the day, carbon dioxide from the atmosphere diffuses into the large air spaces of the spongy mesophyll through the stomata. Excess oxygen diffuses from the leaf down a concentration gradient through the stomata into the atmosphere.

The leaf will be unable to get enough carbon dioxide and photosynthesis will be limited.

If the stomata are closed there may not be sufficient carbon dioxide and the rate of photosynthesis will slow.  

If the parents are homozygous and have different colors such as black (recessive) and white (dominant) then the offspring will have the color of the dominant allele.

According to Mendel's laws there are two types of alleles, dominant and recessive, when the parents are dominant homozygous they have an AA genotype and if they are recessive homozygous they have an aa genotype, when reproducing all their offspring they will have an Aa genotype and only the allele will be expressed dominant, in this case white.
