How to balance the Chemical Equation:
Step 1: count the number of atoms on each side of the equation
Step 2: Look at coefficients (the number In front of the element) and balance the equation
Step 3: ONLY CHANGE COEFFICIENTS
Step 4: Count polyatomic ions as one item

1.) The states of matter are liquid(ex. is milk), gas(ex. is carbon monoxide) and solid (ex. is dirt)
2a.) Four properties observed only by senses are color, volume, mass, and density.
2b.) Four properties that need tests or measurements to be described are radioactivity, oxidation, flammability, and toxicity.
3.) To check for radioactivity, lay the material on top of unexposed photographic film for a few hours. When the films develops, and if the film is exposed, then it is radioactive.
To tell if something is oxidized, check the oxidation numbers and see if there's been an exchange in electrons. (sorry I couldn't come up with a better one for this one I can't explain it well.)
To check the toxicity in the body, take a urine or blood sample.
To check for flammability, check what the lowest temperature is that is takes for the vapour of the material to ignite, and if it's below 37.8 degrees C, then it's flammable.
I hope I helped somewhat :)
