There are two types of vaporization: evaporation and boiling. Evaporation occurs at temperatures below the boiling point, and occurs on the liquid's surface.  Boiling is the rapid vaporization of a liquid and occurs when a liquid is heated to its boiling point.

The element with an electron configuration of 1s2 2s2 2p6, has a full outer shell of electrons, 2 electrons in the 2s sub-shell and 6 electrons in the 2p sub-shell which gives a total of 8 valence electrons. Therefore, this atom is already stable and does not need to form a bond in order to complete its octet. Atoms of elements that already have a full outer shell of electrons are termed noble gases. Noble gases are chemically inert, so when this element approaches an atom with seven valence electron no reaction will occur
