It is clear that 1.0 mole of H₂ reacts with 0.5 mole of O₂ to produce 1.0 mole of H₂O.∴ 2.5 mole of O₂ will react with 5.0 moles of H₂.
The limiting reactant is O₂ and H₂ is found in excess (1.0 mole more).From the stichiometry: 2.5 mole of O₂ will react with 5.0 moles of H₂ to produce 5.0 moles of H₂O.
∴ 5.0 moles of water are produced when 6.0 moles of hydrogen gas react with 2.5 moles of oxygen gas
