Ilazily flipped through the pages of my textbook and yawned. “too bad i can’t be more like my brother,” i thought. he is very studious and a bit of a perfectionist, and he’s always anxious to learn new things. it’s hard to believe that anyone can be that focused. but me? well, that’s a different story. i am much more likely to spend my time daydreaming. which words from the passage are a good example of direct characterization? i lazily flipped through the pages of my textbook too bad i can’t be more like my brother he is very studious and a bit of a perfectionist i am much more likely to spend my time daydreaming

3. He is very studious and a bit of a perfectionist
Explanation:
Characterization is a literary device used to develop fictional characters in a story, that is to say, to reveal a character's physical appearance, personality, interests, or motifs. This characterization can be either direct or indirect.
When the characterization is indirect, writers show the character's personality through dialogues, thoughts, behaviors, actions, the description of their appearance and people's reaction to the character, examples of this type is sentences 1, 2 and 4.
On the other hand, when it is direct, writers tell readers how the character is in a straightforward manner, in other words, they make direct statements about the character personality such as in sentence 3: "He is very studious and a bit of a perfectionist."
