How was the Continental army able to win the war for independence from Great Britain?

The severely under armed, under manned Continental Army was able to win the war for independence from Great Britain by one because of foreign help, two, affecting British morale at Great Britain, and three, using tactics that weren't seen, or if the tactics were seen, the Continental Army was able to use them to their advantage. But most of the reason why the Continental Army was able to win the war for independence was because of the British generals not teaming up, failing, and not using great tactics, just using force, so mainly cockiness, but also foreign help.
