In your own words summarize the 9th amendment

Basically it is just saying that any rights that weren't specified in the Constitution belong to the people, and not the government. This was put in to avoid some kind of governmental abuse if we forgot to put some specifics in. And that the rights of the people are not just limited to the rights of the Constitution.

Georgia ignored the Supreme Court's ruling, refused to release the missionaries, and continued to press the federal government to remove the Cherokees. President Jackson did not enforce the decision against the state and instead called on the Cherokees to relocate or fall under Georgia's jurisdiction.
