Write a two- to four-paragraph response to the question: “To what extent were the progressives successful?”
Remember to use a thesis statement and provide supporting details from what you’ve learned:
*this is what I actually wrote. CHANGE THE WORDING!! This is also my writing for the thesis of "Progressives were mostly successful in achieving reform but did not pass all the measures they wanted.
"
"Regarding achieving reform, the Progressives were mostly successful,, but not all of the reforms they wanted were passed.Progressives achieved many of their reforms and made a lot of progression for society and the world. But there were still some things they could not fully achieve. People's greed and ignorance held them back from fully being able to pass every progressive law.
The progressives got many laws passed that benefited the minorities and people who needed justice for unfair treatment. Many acts were passed, such as the Adamson Act, to help things such as wages and work time, specifically for railroad workers. Women got the right to vote, and overall there was more voter participation. Progressives were able to reform taxes ant passed acts such as the Underwood-Simmons act, and Clayton antitrust act, to better the economy and business. Workers were treated better and there was also new protection for consumers as well. Though the progressives did accomplish so much, not everything was done as they hoped.
The progressives hoped to achieve progressive legislation, but the supreme court overturned it and this prohibited them from making such steps froward. They were also unable to get child labor laws passed because they were declared unconstitutional, which was not good. And though the progressives did get women the right to vote, it was not as if they were magically treated equal and accepted.
The amount of things the progressives achieved outweigh what they were unable to. Through their hard work new laws and acts were passed to help benefit society as they hoped. "

I used this for edge, and got it correct:
